Terms and community guidelines
RotaFair messaging is a private workplace channel for rota coordination between verified staff who currently share a hospital department. Accepting these rules is required before sending a message.
Use messaging for rota operations only
Appropriate messages include shift coordination, availability, swaps, covers, and practical workplace communication. RotaFair chat is not a clinical record or handoff system. Do not include patient names, identifiers, diagnoses, photographs, medical records, or other patient information. Use the hospital's approved clinical systems for patient care.
Treat colleagues respectfully
You must not send, upload, or use RotaFair to distribute:
- harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or unwanted repeated contact;
- sexual, exploitative, violent, illegal, or otherwise objectionable content;
- spam, scams, impersonation, malicious links, or misleading information;
- another person's private or confidential information without authority; or
- content that violates hospital policy, law, or Google Play's developer policies.
Safety controls and moderation
You can report a user, report an individual message, and block or unblock a colleague from inside a conversation. Blocking stops both participants from sending messages while the block remains. Authorized RotaFair administrators may review reported content, mark reports resolved, and suspend a user's messaging access while leaving their rota access intact. Reports should be made in good faith; abusing the reporting system is prohibited.
Availability and retention
Messaging may be unavailable after a roster or manager-access link is removed. Messages and moderation records are stored to deliver the service, show conversation history, investigate reports, and meet operational or legal obligations. Account deletion removes the account's direct messages, blocks, and reports as described in the privacy policy.
Contact
For a safety, moderation, or terms question, use the in-app report control or contact [email protected]. If there is an immediate threat or emergency, contact the appropriate hospital or emergency service rather than relying on RotaFair chat.
